Prices are the advertised monthly prices on Spectrum's and Cox's business websites on November 6, 2026, before taxes and fees. What you pay depends on your address.
Spectrum Business is the small-business arm of Charter Communications. Since Charter completed its deal with Cox in August 2026, Cox Business has become Spectrum Business, and Spectrum's network now reaches parts of 45 states. This guide covers what Spectrum Business internet and phone service cost, what the fine print adds, and what's changing for Cox Business customers. It also compares Spectrum with AT&T, Comcast, T-Mobile and Verizon for a business with 4 to 250 employees.
Spectrum Business pricing at a glance
| Service | Advertised price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Business Internet 500 Mbps | $50/mo for one year (online-only offer, not available everywhere). Cox's business site lists it from $65/mo | 20 Mbps upload |
| Business Internet 750 Mbps | $95/mo (promotional); bundling saves up to $25/mo and adds a 3-year price guarantee | 35 Mbps upload |
| Business Internet 1 Gig | $115/mo (promotional); bundling saves up to $25/mo and adds a 3-year price guarantee | 50 Mbps upload; Advanced WiFi included |
| Business Voice | $20/mo per line for one year when bundled with internet | n/a |
| Business Connect with RingCentral | $20/mo per user for one year (2+ users, bundled); $25 for a single seat | Cloud phone system |
| Business Mobile | Business Unlimited lines $40/mo; one line included for a year with Business Internet | n/a |
| Contract | None for Spectrum Business Internet | No data caps |
For one office, Spectrum's advertised internet plans run from $50 to $115 a month before taxes and fees. Phone lines and cloud phone users add about $20 a month each for the first year when bundled. A 2 Gig plan is offered in select markets, priced by quote.
What changed in 2026: Cox Business is now Spectrum Business
On August 20, 2026, Charter announced it had completed its transaction with Cox Communications. Charter said Spectrum branding, pricing and packaging would launch in all former Cox markets in mid-September 2026. The parent company will be renamed Cox Communications within a year but "will continue to operate as Spectrum across all markets." The combined company's network reaches more than 70 million homes and businesses across 45 states [3].
For businesses, Cox's own site now reads "Cox Business is now Spectrum Business." Here's what it tells existing Cox Business customers [4]:
- Nothing changes yet. Customers keep the "same equipment, phone numbers, contractual terms, billing and support. No action required."
- Current plans and prices stay the same. If anything changes, Cox says it will notify customers in advance.
- Account teams stay in place. Existing account and service teams stay the same.
Cox's business offers page now advertises Spectrum Business deals: Internet 500 from $65 a month, Business Mobile Unlimited from $40, and Business Connect from $20 [5]. The same page's legal text still mentions Cox's minimum-term service agreements and early termination fees, so confirm the term at your address before you sign. If you're in a former Cox area, ask which plans and prices apply at your address: Spectrum's online offers, the prices on Cox's site, or the terms of your existing Cox agreement.

Sources: Spectrum Business Internet page [1] and Spectrum's business speed guide [2]. Promotional prices are for qualified new business customers; standard rates apply after the promotional period.
What to know before you order:
- No contract and no data caps. Spectrum says its business internet plans "are offered without data caps or contracts" [1].
- Uploads are much slower than downloads. Spectrum's network is hybrid fiber-coax, fiber to a nearby node and coaxial cable into your building [1]. Upload speeds are 20, 35 or 50 Mbps on the 500 Mbps, 750 Mbps and 1 Gig plans [2]. That's fine for email, card readers and most video calls. It can slow down teams that upload large files or back up to the cloud all day.
- Bundles unlock the best prices. Ordering two or more qualifying services on the same day unlocks the bundle savings and the 3-year price guarantee on the 750 Mbps and 1 Gig plans. Qualifying services include Business Internet, paid Business Voice, Business Connect, Business TV Local+ and paid Business Mobile lines [1].
- Promotional pricing ends. "Standard rates apply after promo period or if qualifying services not maintained." Spectrum doesn't publish its standard rates online, so ask for the year-two price before you order [1].
- Switching help. Spectrum will cover up to $1,000 of your current provider's early termination fee when you install two or more services, not counting mobile [1].
- Dedicated fiber is sold separately. If you need dedicated fiber with a service-level agreement, Spectrum sells it through Spectrum Enterprise and prices it by quote [11].
Spectrum Business phone and mobile pricing
| Product | What it is | Advertised price |
|---|---|---|
| Spectrum Business Voice | Business phone lines | $20/mo per line for one year when bundled with Spectrum Business Internet [6] |
| Spectrum Business Connect with RingCentral | Cloud phone system with calling, messaging and video meetings | $20/mo per user for one year with 2+ users, bundled with internet; a single seat is $25/mo [7] |
| Spectrum Business Mobile: Business Unlimited | Unlimited talk, text and data; speeds reduced after 30 GB per line | $40/mo per line, or $100/mo for 4 lines. One line is included for a year with Business Internet [8] [1] |
| Spectrum Business Mobile: Business Unlimited Plus | Adds Anytime Upgrade and hotspot data | $50/mo per line [8] |
Spectrum Business Mobile requires Spectrum Business Internet and Auto Pay, and each line has an activation fee [1].
Backup internet from Spectrum
Wireless Internet Backup: $20 a month. It switches on automatically during an outage [9]. Spectrum's fine print lists limits:
- It supports up to 4 devices at download speeds up to 10 Mbps, with up to 8 hours of battery backup.
- It requires a Static IP or Business WiFi subscription.
- Static IP and Business WiFi don't work while the backup is running.
Source: [1].
Invincible WiFi: a WiFi 7 router that switches to 5G cellular backup during an internet or power outage, with up to eight hours of battery power. Cellular backup speeds are reduced after 100 GB a month, and it only works at your service address [1] [4].
It's worth getting your backup line from a different carrier and technology than your main line, so a single outage is less likely to take out both.
If you're a Cox Business customer
Cox says your current plan, pricing and contract terms stay the same for now [4]. Before you renew, switch plans or change providers, check three points in Cox's Business General Terms (updated April 2, 2026) [10]:
- Early termination. Ending service early can cost 100% of the monthly recurring charges left in your term.
- Automatic renewal. Agreements renew automatically for one-year terms unless you give written notice at least 30 days before they expire.
- Renewal-term increases. Cox can raise rates on many services by up to 10% during renewal terms, with prior written notice.
If your Cox contract ends within the next few months, that's a good time to compare. The new Spectrum Business plans have no contracts and advertise their promotional prices online, and other carriers may serve your building too.
Fees and fine print to budget for
- Payment fees: a Payment Processing Charge of up to $10 a month without Auto Pay (some Spectrum offers say $5), plus $5 a month without paperless billing [1].
- Taxes and fees: extra in select states, and internet taxes are extra in Texas. Installation and equipment charges may apply [1].
- Gig equipment: the 1 Gig plan needs a Gig-capable modem [1].
- Static IP addresses: Spectrum doesn't publish the price. One reviewer was quoted $20 a month and notes the price can vary by location [11].
- Eligibility: promotional prices are for qualified new business customers who haven't had Spectrum Business, or equivalent residential service, in the past 30 days [1].
Pros and cons of Spectrum Business
Pros
- No contracts and no data caps [1].
- Clear advertised prices. 500 Mbps is $50 a month for a year online, and 1 Gig is $115 [1].
- 3-year price guarantee on 750 Mbps and 1 Gig when you bundle [1].
- Inexpensive add-ons. Phone lines and cloud phone users are $20 a month for the first year, and one mobile line is included for a year [6] [7] [8].
- Up to $1,000 toward your old contract when you install two or more services [1].
- Wide footprint. With Cox, Spectrum now reaches more than 70 million homes and businesses in 45 states [3].
- Well-rated mobile service. Spectrum Business ranked second among small businesses (1 to 19 employees) in J.D. Power's 2026 U.S. Business Wireless Satisfaction Study, which covers mobile service [12].
Cons
- Slow uploads. 20 to 50 Mbps on the 500 Mbps to 1 Gig plans, compared with symmetrical speeds on fiber [2].
- Prices rise after the promotion, and standard rates aren't published [1].
- The price guarantee requires a bundle [1].
- Payment fees of up to $10 a month without Auto Pay and $5 without paperless billing [1].
- The $20 wireless backup is limited. It tops out at 10 Mbps for 4 devices, and static IPs don't work while it's running [1].
- Transition questions for former Cox customers. Existing Cox contracts carry early termination and auto-renewal terms [10].
Who Spectrum Business fits best
- Small offices, shops and restaurants whose internet use is mostly downloads: card readers, email, web apps and video calls.
- Businesses that don't want a contract.
- Teams that want internet, phone and mobile from one provider, since bundles unlock the lowest prices and a 3-year price guarantee.
- Former Cox Business customers reviewing their options as their contracts come up for renewal.
Upload-heavy teams should compare Spectrum with fiber options at the same address. That includes design studios, video producers and offices that back up to the cloud all day.
How Spectrum compares with AT&T, Comcast, T-Mobile and Verizon
Here's how the five carriers in this series compare on key points for small businesses. Which of them you can actually get depends on your street address.
| Spectrum Business | AT&T Business | Comcast Business | T-Mobile Business Internet | Verizon Business | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main technology | Cable (fiber to the neighborhood, coax to the building) | Fiber; fixed wireless (Internet Air) | Cable (fiber to the neighborhood, coax to the building) | 5G fixed wireless | Fiber (Fios and Frontier); 5G and LTE fixed wireless |

Sources: each carrier's website, checked November 6, 2026, and J.D. Power's 2026 business internet and business wireless studies (see "Comparison section sources" at the end of this page). Starting prices aren't like-for-like. Some already include AutoPay or bundle discounts, and promotional prices can rise later. See each carrier's section for the conditions.
- Spectrum vs. Comcast: Both are cable providers with uploads well below their download speeds. Spectrum has no contract and a $50 first-year offer on 500 Mbps. Comcast requires a 1-year term and shows its year-two and year-three price increases in its offer details. Its optional 5-year price lock costs $40 a month more in year one ($110 vs. $70 for 300 Mbps; the $70 offer ends November 8, 2026). Check which of the two serves your address.
- Spectrum vs. AT&T: Where AT&T Fiber is available, it uploads as fast as it downloads. It starts at $60 a month for 300 Mbps online, with no annual contract. That's a big step up from Spectrum's 20 to 50 Mbps uploads for teams that send large files.
- Spectrum vs. Verizon: Verizon's Fios and Frontier fiber also offer symmetrical, or nearly symmetrical, speeds. Frontier's 500 Mbps plan is $49.99 a month with bank Auto Pay and no long-term contract. Fios's advertised prices need a 2-year term.
- Spectrum vs. T-Mobile: T-Mobile Business Internet costs $35 a month with a T-Mobile voice line, or $70 without, and needs no wiring. Its speeds vary with cellular network conditions, and standard plans have no uptime SLA. If you want a backup line, a wireless service from a different carrier pairs well with a wired connection like Spectrum's.

- 750 Mbps: $95 a month.
- 1 Gig: $115 a month.
Bundling two or more services saves up to $25 a month on the 750 Mbps and 1 Gig plans. Taxes and fees are extra, and standard rates apply after the promotional period [1] [5].
Is Cox Business now Spectrum Business?

Cox says your current plan and pricing stay the same, and that you'll keep the same equipment, phone numbers, contract terms, billing and support. It says it will notify customers in advance of any future changes [4]. Under Cox's Business General Terms, agreements renew automatically for one-year terms unless you give written notice at least 30 days before they expire. Ending early can cost the remaining monthly charges in your term [10].
