What Verkada actually does
Everything is managed in Verkada Command, one cloud dashboard you can reach from anywhere without a VPN. Cameras store footage on the device and in the cloud, so there is no recorder box or server to maintain. Door access works with phone credentials and keycards and can reuse existing readers, and doors keep working if the network drops. Alarms can include professional monitoring that checks video before it dispatches.
