What Akamai actually does
Akamai Cloud offers virtual servers, GPU capacity, managed Kubernetes, storage and managed databases, so you can run workloads without owning hardware. Its content delivery network serves websites, apps and video from locations close to your users so they load fast. On the same network, Akamai protects web applications and APIs and absorbs DDoS attacks (floods of fake traffic meant to knock a site offline).
